Artificial Intelligence Leaves an Artificial Taste

So we have all explored it. AI (Artificial Intelligence), my worst nightmare.
Now, I’m gonna guess that you are going,
“But you’re 21, this technology is your generation, you’ve been in college, you have to know how to use it and love it.”
So on and so forth, but the reality is, I don’t use it for anything. EVER!! And there are many reasons, but the largest is because it's an incredibly dangerous technology that steals your work, makes it artificial, and then pins you into a corner until someone catches you for plagiarism and copyright violations.
Yes. Using AI is plagiarism and a copyright infringement, or at least it can be. It doesn’t matter if you put in something you wrote yourself or if you ask for ideas. If you use AI to enhance your writing, your captions, your social media posts, and you do not identify that amplified content as “generated with AI,” its plagiarism because what the AI spits back out at you is owned by the AI’s servers and therefore no longer your content or ideas. You gave the rights to your creation to AI when you plugged it into the platform and asked for help.
Now there's a lot more to unravel here, and that is its own blog and class, but it's relevant that you have a basic understanding before we move forward.
I’m going to show you two almost identical emails. One of the emails was written by a student in the program, the other was written by AI. Take a good look at them and make your guess, because you’re going to be surprised by the outcome of these emails.
